Gästebewertung: I booked Casa Del Sol because of its location, which is right next to the bus station to ascend to Machu Picchu and not too far from the train station from Cusco, so I didn't expect much more than a clean room; however, the staff is phenomenal, from the person who greeted us at the train & took both of our luggages and ran with them to the hotel, to the checking-in staff, with big warm unpretentious smiles... all run by Alcides, the general manager, who seems to be on the floor from dusk till dawn?! He overlooks things with a calm demeanor and care, who authorized for us to take a shower in their spa after our next day hike, which well passed the check-out time. We are so grateful because our train co-passengers would have not appreciated the smelly sweaty us after our hike down the mountain!?:-) The room is nice and the bed is comfy. The jacuzzi is a nice touch, looking out at the Machu Picchu mountain — though hot water ran out before it filled up for my bath but it's not a big deal — we didn't come for the jacuzzi!
